India defeated Australia by 31 runs in the Adelaide Test and took 1-0 lead in the 5-match test series. In reply to India's 323 target, Australia dismissed for 291. Pujara was adjudged 'Man of the match' for his spectacular century in first innings and a half-century in the second innings.
