IND vs AUS: Mayank Agarwal creates history on debut, breaks this 71-year-old big record

In his debut test, Mayank Agarwal scored 76 runs off 161 balls with 8 fours and 1 massive six, with this knock he has made a special record to his name and breaks the 71-year-old record which was made way back in 1947.

On the first day of the third Test match which is being played in MCG between India and Australia. Earlier, Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first, Debutant Mayank Agarwal and Hanuma Vihari started the innings for India.
Batting first, Indian openers gave a solid start of 40 runs for the first wicket, before Vihari dismissed for 8 runs by Pat Cummins. Later Pujara and Mayank added 83 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket and took India to 123 runs by losing 2 wickets at tea.

Mayank Agarwal breaks the 71-year-old record:

Mayank Agarwal becomes the only the 2nd Indian to score a half-century in Australia on a test debut, apart from scoring the half century, Mayank has also broken the 71-year-old record of Dattu Phadkar, in the case of making the highest score on debut in Australia.

Before him, Dattu Phadkar scored 51 runs in 1947 in Sydney test, while Mayank Agarwal scored 76 runs to register this big record to his name.
