With 82 runs in Melbourne, Virat Kohli will break Rahul Dravid's record of making the most run on foreign soil in a calendar year.

Virat Kohli is in a tremendous form this year and in the 2nd test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he became the second fasted to score 25 test centuries. With this century, he also equalled the record of Sachin (6) in the case of making the most Test centuries on Australian soil.

Now in the Boxing Day Test match starting from December 26 in Melbourne, Virat Kohli is marching towards breaking yet another big record this year. With 82 runs in Melbourne, Virat Kohli will break Rahul Dravid's record of making the most run on foreign soil in a calendar year.
Rahul Dravid scored 1137 test runs on foreign soil in 2002, during this time he broke the 19-year-old Indian record of Mohinder Amarnath, he scored 1065 runs in the year 1983. Since then Rahul Dravid's record has not been touched.

Virat Kohli has scored 1056 runs in Test matches on foreign soil in 2018 so far. To break the record of Amarnath, he needs just 9 runs and 82 runs to break the record of Rahul Dravid.

Virat Kohli started this year with a tour of South Africa. Where he scored 286 runs in three test matches at an average of 47.67. In which he also scored a century in Centurion.

After this, Captain Virat Kohli continued his spectacular form in England and scored 593 runs in five test matches with an average of 58 with three centuries.
