IPL 2019: All the things you know about RCB before the start of new season


The 12th season of the Indian Premier League will start from 23rd March, Saturday. The season opener will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has played a total of 166 matches in IPL so far and out of 166 matches they have managed to win 76 games. While Many times the performance of RCB has been shocking and worse than the average.

Even after the presence of big stars like Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Dale Steyn, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers. But, the overall team's performance remained below par in the majority of the seasons.

History of Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2008 to 2018:

In the inaugural season of IPL in 2008, the RCB team finished the tournament at number seven. But after that, they reached the finals and came runner up in 2009 and reached the playoffs in 2010 and again became runner up in 2011.

In 2012 and 2013 they finished at fifth spot and in 2014 ended at seventh place and eliminated in playoffs in 2015. RCB had the best season in 2016 and almost won the title but lost the match in finals. And in 2017 and 2018, the team was left behind at eight and sixth place respectively.

Indeed, the Bangalore team reached the final three times in 2009, 2011 and 2016, but could not win the title.
