Lasith Malinga played a key role in the victory of Mumbai against Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. In this match, he took three important wickets, while after this match he returned to Sri Lanka to play domestic one-day tournament and took 7 wickets for 49 runs.

Playing for Galle, Malinga took 7/49 in 9.5 against Kandy, he also led the team and played a key role in the 156-run victory. Batting first Galle scored 255 runs, in response to which Kandy team bundled out for just 99 runs.
